Cekap Duit: Cakap Tentang Duit

“Cekap Duit: Cakap Tentang Duit” is a financial literacy programme in Bahasa Malaysia based on Money & Me which was developed by local NGO Malaysian CARE (CARE) with input from TEEF. CARE launched Cekap Duit at Sekolah Integriti Kajang (SIK) at Kajang Prison in 2017 for youth between the ages of 16 and 25. After SIK relocated to the Puncak Alam Correctional Centre (Pusat Koreksional Puncak Alam or PKPA) in 2018, CARE continued to run Cekap Duit there until 2020 when the pandemic caused classes to be suspended.

At the beginning of 2020, SOLS 24/7 adopted Cekap Duit as part of their co-curricular activities for students enrolled at SOLS Academy of Innovation (SOLS.ai) at their Youth Development Centre in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur. SOLs.ai students are aged between 17 and 28 and pursue various courses at the academy, among them English, digital and computer skills, solar PV installation and maintenance and project management.
